It’s been almost a week of hygge-living, and I can honestly tell you, it feels rather blissful. I was worried, it may start affecting my work – this extra focus on myself and balancing my emotions – but in fact, it worked brilliantly for my thought process. Work felt a lot more streamlined and I was able to focus on the priorities. And most importantly – asking myself: “is this giving me inner peace?” before I spoke to someone or did something helped me decide whether to go forward or not. Perhaps it’s also a good thing that I have zero percent of FOMO in my mind. But if you do suffer from FOMO (that’s: Fear Of Missing Out), I strongly suggest you try this for a week!
I also started the first week of 2019 with phone conversations that ended with “hope I’ll see more of you this year than last!” And it got me thinking – do I really live in such a cocoon? Oh dear. This week, I will start with calling one friend a day, and meeting friends three times a week at least… let’s see how we do!
In the meantime – this is something that’s borderline sinful, but worth every calorie. Sliced white bread (a genius invented this!) is rolled three-in-a-line to create one long slice; stuffed with cheese slice, veggies, herbs, garlic and more shredded cheese, rolled up, and then baked to oozing cheesy galore!
I say this is the perfect after-school snack for the kids, and for yourself too – because you need it just as much!
