I’ve never been a fan of using strange things into my cooking – I am fairly traditional and mostly all about foods for the soul. But Coca Cola and cooking? The concept intrigued me when I read somewhere the use of soda in a barbeque sauce for beef and pork ribs.
Now the ingredients list is… interesting. This is not the kind of combination that would appeal to many – but who knows. There’s the pantry staple ketchup, with hot sauce, brown sugar and vinegar; flavorful spices like pepper and cloves, and hints of soya sauce. There’s something so weird about the chemistry – it works wonders!
Use this marinade on paneer, grilled corn, vegetables and boiled eggs.
