Cinnamon Yogurt Pot

Many of you have tried our Black Sesame + Cinnamon Trail Mix as a great snack, but being a recipe developer, I always find ways to add a few spoon full into various recipes. I love adding the crunchy bits into salads, but what this snack really works for is breakfast. This snack mix has caramelised bits of oats and black sesame separately, which works like a granola, along with pumpkin seeds, soya beans and delicate rose petals and so it is my go-to option for rushed mornings, and especially during hot summer mornings. A quick whisk of Greek yoghurt with Eucalyptus Honey, vanilla bean and a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom powder and top it with some juicy mango slices and a big spoon of the trail mix which give me the right amount of energetic boost in the morning!

Breakfast Chai Choco Muffins

Breakfast A breakfast bite that has both chai and chocolate in a muffin form, along with whole wheat flour and dark chocolate chips – need I say more? If you haven’t tried out our brand-new product: Chai Masala Hot Cocoa, you have to NOW! Don’t mean to toot my own horn, but honestly, it is one the most versatile blends I have worked with. This is a collaboration with Toska Chocolates – an artisanal bean to bar chocolate maker, that makes the finest bits of heaven in delightful flavor combinations. Our hand pound chai masala based on Ayurveda swirled with artisanal cocoa and demerara sugar makes it a beautiful mix that is versatile to use – swirl into warm almond milk for a vegan night cap, mix into your coconut milk based smoothie or cold milkshake and sprinkle with berries on top! And another gorgeous option – swirl into muffin mixture for the ideal warm and soothing breakfast start! A simple recipe that uses honey and whole wheat flour and a good dose of the Masala Chai Cocoa Mix. This is great for kids – as the blend of masala chai has all the right spices that help soothe the digestive system and build immunity. One recipe yields 12 normal sized muffins – should last a good 4 days in an airtight container, and if you’d like to store for longer, recommend keeping in the fridge, and bringing out to room temperature before warming just slightly in the oven at 200C for 6-7 mins. Stovetop Chai Choco Oatmeal

Breakfast Beginning your day with a bowl of oatmeal is the best form of self-care for the body and soul. Almost every diet insists upon starting the day with a form of oats. Overnight oats are a great option, but as the weather begins to cool down, most of us crave a warm beginning to the day. Oatmeal is a wonderful option for this, and teamed with Chai Masala Hot Cocoa, it is surely the best way to soothe the stomach and prepare for the rest of the day. The chocolate flavouring also helps in convincing your kids to gobble up the warm bowl! There are a few tips on making the perfect oatmeal on the stovetop – firstly, always use water. Never milk. Milk affects the texture and lumpiness of the oatmeal. Cook the oats in water and pour milk when serving only, the ration of water to oats is always 3:1 – so three cups of water for one cup of oatmeal. This serving size is perfect for two bowls. Start by bringing the water to a simmer and only once a few bubbles start to appear, throw in the oatmeal, lower the heat and stir occasionally. The oats will start to absorb the water. Then cover the pot for a few minutes to allow the oats to soak up the water and cook through. Switch off the heat and stir and let the oatmeal rest for a few minutes before serving. Serving oatmeal is super versatile – add berries, bananas, honey, maple syrup, butter, milk, almond milk, seeds, nuts, jam, peanut butter… really, whatever you like! Check out the video: here Chai Masala Hot Cocoa: SHOP The Recipe Serves Serves: 2 | Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 25 mins Ingredients 3 cups water 1 cup rolled oats pinch of salt 2-3 tbsp Chai Masala Hot Cocoa Toppings: honey nuts fruits banana sprinkle of cinnamon splash of milk Instructions Bring the water, Chai Masala Hot Cocoa Mix and salt to a low boil in a saucepan, using a whisk to combine occasionally Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat and add the oats and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula Remove the pot from heat and cover and let rest for 5 minutes Serve the oatmeal in a bowl and add desired toppings – honey, bananas, pomegranate, splash of milk etc.
