AL Chipino Grilled Pear Salad

Salads,Savoury

A salad has a notorious reputation for being boring, dull and far too tedious – but there are ways to make a plate of green leaves so much more appetising. Using AL Chipino Bollywood Sweet & Sour flavoured tortilla chips, which are non GMO and gluten free, we can make this delicious salad of grilled pears, feta cheese and pecans!

I like to marinate the pear slices for a short bit before grilling on a non-stick pan to perfection! With the crunch of the pecans and the tortilla chips – you’ve got yourself a pretty good deal!

Winter Pumpkin Crostini

This recipe is a part of #thehomeseries in Kitchen Therapy Conversations Grilled pumpkin is one my favourite ingredients to work with – not only does it taste delightful, but it is also filling and substantial ingredient, full of Vitamin A, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, and low in calories, high in fiber, potassium and minerals! In this crostini, I layer grilled pumpkin slices with some herbed butter, cream cheese, rocket leaves, nuts and a few shavings of grana Padano cheese. The marinade is a simple one with balsamic, honey, garlic and chilies which can be drizzled extra!

Tahini Noodles

Noodles have been a bowl of comfort since the beginning of time. It perhaps began with an intense love affair with instant packet noodles, and whilst the lust still lingers for it, the mind has been firm in steering towards flavourings made from scratch and not just in 2 minutes! This sauce is made keeping nutrition in mind – calcium-rich tahini, tamari (as it’s gluten free), and a whole bunch of fresh green veggies are added in for fiber. I do often add in a fried or scrambled egg, occasionally firm tofu cubes or paneer whilst stir frying. As for the noodles – I have experimented with various gluten free and vegan brands, and really, they all are wonderful, but my favourite are egg noodles simply because of how the sauce clings on, whilst maintaining the firmness of the bite of noodle.
