I found this cocktail when I was neck deep in research for something else, but somehow ended up reading up about whiskey. Irish whiskey is known to be sweeter and pairs delightfully with citrus and ginger. The best whiskey for this recipe in my experience is Jameson, but really, what you have in your bar I presume would work just as well.
While a splash of water works best for most, including myself, sometimes I like to switch it up and this is the perfect fizz to add, without taking away too much. the simple addition of a few fresh basil leaves makes me feel like I’ve got an artisanal cocktail in my hand!
